Welcome to the new web-site of the Sherborne Community Arts Centre Trust (SCACT).
It is maintained by the Trustees, see below, and is hosted by Happy Hare Media. It is hoped that members of the community in Sherborne and its environs will contribute freely with ideas and offers of support for this exciting new development in the heart of Sherborne. The Trustees would, in particular, be pleased to work with local arts bodies and artists throughout the planning stages of this purpose designed Arts Centre.

About Us
With the encouragement and support of all levels of local authority and our MP, Oliver Letwin, a new body has been set up in Sherborne to bring into being in the centre of the town a purpose-built Arts Centre. The Centre will be for the use of people from all groups in the community who wish to develop their creative artistic talents. It will comprise studios, and workshops, with office and meeting space. Sherborne ArtsLink will be the primary user of the Centre but it is expected that other arts bodies and community organisations will benefit from the facilities.
By Resolution, Sherborne Town Council (STC), at their meeting of 17 August 2009, established the Sherborne Community Arts Centre Trust (SCACT). The following is an extract from the Council's Minutes:

Sherborne Town Council appoints the following people as the first Trustees of SCACT:
- Mrs Jacqui Baker,
- Mr Ian Dodds,
